MAP-200 - Handling systems

The MAP-200 series consists of seven independent and different training systems. Each of these carries out a simple assembly process by reproducing subsets of more complex processes found in industry. This video shows the most important features of each of the systems that make up the MAP-200 series of handling systems.

Handling devices

The MAP-200 series consists of seven independent and different training systems: **MAP-201, MAP-202, MAP-203, MAP-204, MAP-205, MAP-206 y MAP-207**. Common elements for all equipment: anodised aluminium structure, control keypad, electric connection terminals, labels for cables, solenoid valve blocky, user manual and practice manual.

Optionals

MAP-200 has a series of optional extras.

With this system you could...

Technologies vs Skills

MAP-200 comes up with different practical activities targeting skills in the technologies featuring in the table.

Manipulator

It is the part of the robot that comes into contact with the parts when moving them, holding them or generating measurements.

Programmable Controlers

An electronic control system and associated instrumentation used for industrial process control. Such as, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, or DCSs, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Distribution Panel

Is a component of an electricity supply system that divides an electrical power feed into subsidiary circuits while providing a protective fuse or circuit breaker for each circuit in a common enclosure.

Pneumatics

Within physics, pneumatics is part of the mechanical branch and studies the balance and movement of gaseous flows. It is also the technology that uses compressed air as a mode of transmission of the energy necessary to move and operate mechanisms.

Vacuum

"A vacuum is space devoid of matter. The word is derived from the Latin adjective vacuus (neuter vacuum) meaning ""vacant"" or ""void"". An approximation to such vacuum is a region with a gaseous pressure much less than atmospheric pressure. In industry, vacuum allows a temporary bond to be generated between the machine and the workpiece. This makes it possible to move light elements in production."

Electric Motors

An electric motor is a device that turns electrical energy into mechanical rotational energy through the action of magnetic fields generated in its coils. They are electric rotating machines composed of a stator and a rotor.

Sensors

A sensor is a device, module, machine, or subsystem that detects events or changes in its environment and sends the information to other electronics, frequently a computer processor. With advances in micromachinery and easy-to-use microcontroller platforms, the uses of sensors have expanded beyond the traditional fields of temperature, pressure and flow measurement.

Motion control

Motion control is a sub-field of automation, encompassing the systems or sub-systems involved in moving parts of machines in a controlled manner. Motion control systems are extensively used in a variety of fields for automation purposes, including precision engineering, micromanufacturing, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.

SCADA HMI

SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) is a control system architecture comprising computers, networked data communications and graphical user interfaces for high-level supervision of machines and processes.

Automated Systems

Automated systems are computer-based systems that perform tasks without human intervention or assistance. They are designed to operate automatically and continuously, often in response to predefined triggers or conditions. The use of automation has become increasingly popular across various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, finance, transportation, and more.
